Anna Carroll, Executive Director
Anna Carroll, a Lexington, Ky., native, was introduced to the mission field at age 7. By the time she graduated from high school, she had ministered in five different nations. It was in Iasi, Romania, however, that God awakened her love for children and orphans. At age 20, she lived in Romania to teach English to the orphan population.
Upon returning to the U.S., she started working with the youth group at Cornerstone Church in Lexington and later with the church's college ministry and worship team. Her heart for missions allowed her to lead short-term trips to Romania and Costa Rica. Anna has trained with Strategic World Impact and is a graduate of its Disaster Assistance Relief Training program.
In the summer of 2009, Anna was sent out from her church as a full-time missionary to Costa Rica, where she worked and served Palabra de Fe. Through this local ministry, Anna established an English program for impoverished children. God then opened doors for Anna to hear the cries and desperation of exploited children, and he moved on her heart to respond. Today, she is the founder and director of LightForce International, a ministry that reaches out to women and children who are involved in, or victims of, exploitation and prostitution in Central America.
